Pour for Migrations

Available now · Pour 1.0.1

Hand each client proof their data moved intact.

Point Pour at the old and new systems (databases or exports), and it compares each row and cell on your machine. You get a sign-off report your client can re-check themselves. A sign-off report is a document that shows the old and new data match, or exactly where they don't. You never send anyone their data.

Pricing on request.

Example resultExample data

orders_old (SQL Server) vs orders_new (Postgres)

48,210 rows matched by key order_id

48,209 rows identical

1 cell differs: order 10,207, total, 84.10 became 8.41

How it works

  1. 1. Point it at both sides

Connect Pour straight to the old and new databases, or give it exports. No export step is needed when it can read the database.

  2. 2. It compares on your machine

Rows are matched by key and each cell is compared. A changed value, a missing row or a wrong type is named, down to the cell.

  3. 3. Hand over the report

An HTML report and a PDF filing copy with totals, differences and the checks that ran. Your client re-checks it offline.

What it proves, and what it doesn't

Pour shows that the two sides match, or exactly where they don't. It doesn't prove the source was complete or correct, and it isn't a certification. Your client or auditor decides what to accept.

Pour 1.0.1 shipped Oct 3, 2026 as a command-line tool.

Common questions

Do you need to see our client's data?

No. Pour runs on your machine and nothing is uploaded unless you choose to.

Do we have to export the data first?

Not when Pour can read the database directly. Exports work too, and you can compare a database on one side with a file on the other.

Will an auditor accept it?

The report can be re-checked offline by anyone. Your auditor decides what to accept.

How do we pay?

Reports are invoiced for now. Online checkout isn't set up yet.
